Nantwich Town Football Club Limited

Nantwich Town Football Club is pleased to announce that it will commence the 2010/11 season as a Limited Company. The change has been made following the ‘Marcus Hallows case’ in which Ashton United FC were found to be liable for an injury suffered by one of their opponents. The move has the backing of the Northern Premier League and Cheshire County FA and has been sanctioned by the Football Association.

It has been of paramount importance to the club to ensure its facilities at the Weaver Stadium will continue to be enjoyed by future generations. The freehold of the Stadium, therefore, will be held by Nantwich Football Trust Ltd whilst the club will be run on a day-to-day basis by Nantwich Town Football Club Ltd which will take out a lease on the stadium.

Both companies are ‘Limited by Guarantee’. Therefore, there will be no shareholders and, hence, no opportunity for individuals now, or in the future, to make gain from the club or its assets.

In recognition of their service to the club as Trustees, Neville Clarke, Albert Pye and Peter Temmen have been made Life Vice-Presidents. The Board of Nantwich Town Football Club Limited comprises Clive Jackson (Chairman & Director of Football), Edward Beeston (Facilities Director), Michael Chatwin (Business & Finance Director), Jon Gold (Commercial & Marketing Director), Steve Smithies (Youth & Football Development Director), Jon Brydon (Non-Executive) & Charles Grant (Non-Executive).

The Directors of Nantwich Football Trust Limited are Jon Brydon (Chairman), Neville Clarke, Paul Kelly, Bernard Lycett, Bob Melling, John Morris, Albert Pye, Peter Temmen, Clive Thomasson, Roy Tilley.

The club is most grateful to John Driver and Keith Cutler of Hibberts LLP for their kind assistance in guiding the club through the necessary legal processes. Whilst supporters will hardly notice any difference to matchdays at the Weaver Stadium, the club believes it has made an important step in securing the future of the club for years to come.

Thursdays 7:00pm @ The Weaver stadium 3g pitch

Junior Goalkeeper Coaching will start again on Thursday August 19th and carry on every thursday through the season at 7.00pm.

The sessions will be led by our goalkeeping coach Paddy Chesters and first team Keeper Ben Chapman on the 3g pitch at The Weaver Stadium

Would you like to sponsor the kit of your favourite Nantwich Town player for the coming season?

Sponsors are required for all the first team squad and the club is inviting individuals and businesses to sponsor the player of their choice. The cost is £150 for the whole season with sponsors being listed in every matchday programme throughout the season and on the club website.

Dates and times are as follows:-

Age 4 to Under 7 ’s
Every Saturday morning 9.00am – 10.00am.
£2.50 per session

Under 8 ’s to Under 11's
Every Saturday morning 10.00am – 11.30am.
£3.00 per session

Girls Only Age 6 to 10
Every Saturday morning 10.00am – 11.30am.
The sessions are held at the 3rd Generation synthetic pitch at the weaver Stadium, Water Lode, Nantwich Cheshire.
